The correct answer is CORN RICE!

Corn is one of the most common and popular form of staple food across the globe. Aside from the benefits mentioned in the clues, organic facts says that there are other nutritional value that can be extracted from it. They are the following: zinc, phosphorous, manganese, magnesium, copper, selenium, a little bit of potassium and iron. It also contains vitamins such as vitamin A, B, and E. It can boost our body’s nervous system and improve our digestion.  

Over the centuries, Filipinos were accustomed to eating rice every meal and corn as a snack only or a lower substitute for it. No Filipino would tell you that corn is their normal meal, complimentary to their viand.

Our country is rich in terms of agricultural resources and can generate enough rice supply if handled or managed properly. But as the years past, the demand for the supply of rice  cannot be met with our fellow farmers. Recently, according to a news article from inquirer says that the department of agriculture encourages the government to invest on a new discovery of low-glycemic corn as an alternative or an extender for our staple food-the white rice. The project aims to lessen the nation’s importation of rice and attain a better food security.


And today, an innovative product is available that comprises the above mentioned benefits of corn. It is a corn in rice form, it is the Rico corn rice.
